Two men were shot outside Candlestick Park Saturday night shortly after the end of the preseason game between the San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders.
One of the men is in critical condition while the other had superficial face wounds, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Police detained a suspect at the scene. Police also said a 26-year-old man was assaulted and knocked unconscious in a restroom inside the stadium during the game. He suffered life-threatening injuries.
According to the report, the 24-year-old man with serious injuries from the shooting was wearing a T-shirt that read “F- the 49ers.” He was found when he drove a truck near Gate A and stumbled out. Police said he was shot two to four times in the stomach.
It’s unknown if the suspect is believed to be involved in one or both shootings.
