Plax Misses Practice With Hamstring Injury

From Mike Garafolo of The Star-Ledger:

Tom Coughlin said the reason for WR Plaxico Burress’ sitting out practice today was a hamstring injury that popped up in the last 24 hours. Coughlin only said, “We’ll see,” when asked if Burress will be okay. Burress didn’t speak to the media.

RB Brandon Jacobs (knee), CB Aaron Ross (hamstring) and LB Chase Blackburn (neck) all practiced.

“They practice limited and apparently did pretty well,” Coughlin said. “Nobody was hampered, nobody had to come out, so I would say they did okay.”

S Sammy Knight was out with a hip injury, though Coughlin said the training staff, not Knight, made the call on that one. DE Jerome McDougle is still battling a nagging knee. And hold the phone - LB Gerris Wilkinson (knee) practiced for the second straight day.

“I don’t think he’s all the way back, but he’s practiced a couple of days,” Coughlin said.

One non-injury note: one of your favorite Giants will be starring in a Super Bowl commercial and it’s supposed to be pretty good. Can’t say who because I’m sworn to secrecy. And can’t say what because I have no idea.
