The San Francisco 49ers don't appear to be a potential landing destination for Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson.

49ers general manager Trent Baalke told CSN Bay Area that the team hasn't discussed Jackson with the Eagles at this time. The 49ers also lack the current salary-cap space to acquire Jackson's $10.25 million base salary for 2014.

“Right now, he’s under contract with the Philadelphia Eagles,” Baalke said. “We’ve not made any contact with the Eagles relative to a trade for DeSean Jackson.”

As for the reports that the 49ers have called the Eagles about Jackson?

“As of this moment, those reports are totally misleading and false,” Baalke said.

The 49ers are $3.276 million under the NFL salary cap limit of $133 million.
