The San Francisco 49ers have released former Indianapolis Colts starting wide receiver Austin Collie and former Tennessee Titans starting wide receiver Lavelle Hawkins.
Collie has a history of health issues, including several concussions and a ruptured patellar tendon.
He's a highly-skilled possession receiver who caught 172 passes for 16 touchdowns during a three-year span for the Colts.
Hawkins was cut by the New England Patriots this offseason.
Two seasons ago, Hawkins caught 47 passes for 470 yards and one touchdown.
For his career, he has 71 receptions for 771 yards and one touchdown.
