Turns out it looked a lot scarier than it was.
San Francisco 49ers outside linebacker Aldon Smith was taken by cart to the locker room Friday night after the second play of the second drive by the Minnesota Vikings. Turns out Smith just has a bruised hip, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
That is good news for the Niners, who can’t afford to lose an impact player like Smith, who left the locker room after the game using support canes.
“It looks like we'll be all right,” San Francisco coach Jim Harbaugh said. “Looks like we dodged a bullet there.”
