It was a short vacation for wide receiver Kassim Osgood.
According to Pro Football Talk, the veteran special teams ace was re-signed by the 49ers on Wednesday, less than two weeks after being released during final cuts. In order to make room for the 33-year-old, San Francisco placed rookie linebacker Nick Moody on the IR-designated to return list after suffering a right hand injury in Week 1. He is eligible to return after eight weeks, as per the recall list rules.
Osgood, a three-time Pro Bowl special teamer, spent seven years in San Diego before stops in Jacksonville and Detroit over the past three seasons.
