San Francisco 49ers rookie running back Marcus Lattimore is expected to start practicing next week.
A former South Carolina standout who suffered a serious knee injury last October, Lattimore is improving.
He's still on the reserve-non-football injury list. If he doesn't practice by next week, he'll have to go on injured reserve.
Lattimore tore his anterior cruciate, lateral collateral and posterior cruciate ligaments in his right knee last year and was picked in the fourth round by the 49ers.
"Everything feels good," Lattimore told Bay Area reporters. "I should be out there. We’ll see what happens.”
““It’ll be important to have my mind ready for the next year," Lattimore said. "Just real excited about it.”
