The Patriots are likely to get receiver Aaron Dobson some work in Thursday's preseason finale against the Giants on Thursday.

According to The Boston Herald, Dobson traveled with the team and is expected to make his preseason debut. Dobson has been recovering from a broken foot all offseason and has some setbacks in the rehab process.

However, it appears he's finally on the right track and could be available for New England's regular-season opener.

Dobson is the likely starter at the X receiver position, which is what Kenbrell Thompkins has been starting at during the preseason. Both will likely rotate in that role to start the season.
