Adam Snyder has returned to the San Francisco 49ers after one season at the basement of the NFC West.
The guard departed for the Arizona Cardinals last season, signing a $17.5 million, five-year deal but sticking around for only one season. He returns to the 49ers on a two-year contract, the club announced.
Snyder was pushed out by the new coaching staff in Arizona after the club used its first-round draft pick on North Carolina’s Jonathan Cooper. Originally a third-round pick of the Niners in 2005, he has 83 starts over the course of his career, including 14 last season in Arizona.
Snyder provides the 49ers with some proven depth for the interior of the line.
