Adrian Peterson's quest for another 2,000-yard season doesn't appear to be happening at this rate.
The star running back, who finished eight yards short of the NFL single-season last year, rushed for just 28 yards on 13 carries in Monday's loss to the Giants.
Even he had to admit that the offense is out of sync with one another.
"We just really couldn't get anything established up front, and that's where everything starts," Peterson said, via the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. "We're just kind of out of whack. [The Giants] were bringing some stunts and a lot of movement up front. Nothing we haven't seen before, but it kind of put us in an uncomfortable position and we just struggled with that all night."
For the year, Peterson has 511 yards and five touchdowns. He's currently on pace for 1,363 rushing yards.
