After an unexcused absence for two days, New York Jets cornerback Dimitri Patterson met with coach Rex Ryan and general manager John Idzik on Sunday night.
That's all the team had to say on the m atter.
The Jets didn't know where Pattterson was for days after he didn't show up for the game Friday night and was unreachable.
The Jets may discipline Patterson.
Patterson's absence remains unexplained at least publicly.
“Without putting an APB out, you're trying everything you can,” Ryan said. “You're trying all the numbers you have, you name it. Obviously, as the game wore on, we still had a major concern.”
Idzik said it wasn't a legal matter.
“Not to my knowledge,” he said. “We have a very cursory knowledge of what's going on. That's the extent of it. We know he's okay and haven't been able to communicate with him. That's it in a nut shell.”
