Cleveland Browns safety Nick Sorensen has gotten a favorable diagnosis from team doctors after being carted off the field on a stretcher Saturday night following a nasty helmet-to-helmet collision against the Detroit Lions, according to his agent.
"Nick Sorensen checks out ok by Browns doc so far," Ron Del Duca said on his Twitter account. "Takes home 5 lb bottle of aspirin tho....hang in there Nick."
According to the Browns' public relations department Saturday night, Sorensen was responsive with feelings in all four extremities and was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.
"Nick is on his way back from the hospital," Browns coach Eric Mangini told reporters after the game. "All the tests are negative. I couldn't be happier about that. It was a big hit he took. It's a scary part of the game."
