Barring a surprise development, the Tennessee Titans are expected to part ways with veteran running back Chris Johnson soon.
Attempts to trade Johnson have been unsuccessful, largely due to his $8 million salary for 2014 and his declining production.
Agent Joel Segal told SiriusXM NFL Radio that he spoke with the Titans on Wednesday and believes it's only a "matter of time" before Johnson will be off the roster.
The New York Jets are expected to pursue Johnson if he's released.
