That didn’t take long.
It was reported that Ahmad Brooks was nearing a long-term extension with the San Francisco 49ers. Now, Brooks has that shiny, new deal. According to Cam Inman of the San Jose Mercury News, Brooks received a $44.5 million, six-year extension. The deal includes $17.5 million guaranteed.
With Brooks locked up now the 49ers can turn their attention to players like quarterback Alex Smith and cornerback Carlos Rogers, who are also seeking contract extensions.
