Johnson had criticized commissioner's handling of coin flip controversy Aaron Wilson
In the wake of the controversial coin flip that gave the New York Giants the first game of at their new stadium, New York Jets owner Woody Johnson criticized how the league handled the issue with neither team being present at a secret game of heads-or-tails.
Since it was widely interpreted as Johnson questioning NFL commissioner Roger Goodell's integrity, Johnson has engaged in some damage control and met with the the league's top executive last week.
According to the New York Post, Johnson emphasized that the issue is behind them.
"I think we're moving forward," Johnson said.
And Johnson said he hasn't been catching any grief from his fellow owners.
"A couple of [owners] mentioned it, but I haven't heard any negative comments -- but maybe it's selective hearing," Johnson said with a smile.
Johnson downplayed the notion that the New York bid for the 2014 Super Bowl will be affected by his comments.
"The Super Bowl stands on merit," Johnson said. "You're not going to take it away because on something unrelated. That wouldn't make any sense."
