Packers CB on his comeback plans: ‘Can’t leave money on the table.’ National Football Post
Week 3 of Al Harris’ rehab from an injured left knee continues to be tedious but tough. With his trainer gone on family business, the Packers cornerback works with a new trainer, who puts him through the usual grind of stretches and exercises at Atlantic Rehabilitation Center in Miami.
Harris, who’s recording videos exclusively for readers of the National Football Post as he attempts to recover from surgery, says he intends to return to football to finish up the two years remaining on his contract. He has also said he plans to play three or four more seasons.
“I’m a man of my word,” Harris says. “I live by principles. I know I’ve got to fulfill that part of the deal. Can’t leave money on the table.”
But as you watch the third installment of Harris’ video diary, you’ll see that it’s much more than just the money. Harris is driven by the competition and the challenge to come back from a devastating injury that would have ended the careers of most other players.

Keep it up Predator, other than that contract you got to come back for that ring. Pack 2010
GOD Bless you Al, I can't wait to see you running out opening day and locking down the opponents number one WR. If there is a human being alive who can come back from a torn ACL in 6 months it's you big Al. Hell in 2008 you came back from that spleen injury and when it went down everyone was writing you off saying you were done, you came back that same season! I'm praying for you Al... Packers will be superbowl champs in 2010!
AL, peace and all the happiness in the world for you and your family!! The PACKERS FAMILY is all pulling for you to get you on that field for the opener in Sept!! You the man bro!!
Al you are the man, i am a season ticket holder that just moved to NE. I will miss watching run out of the tunnell live but will be watching! Best of luck packer fans have all the faith in you!!!
I've had 7 knee operations and have no ACL in either leg. I'm looking at a knee replacement before I'm 60 in a few years. I wrecked my first ACL about the same age as you, Al, and took up skiing after that. However, I would never have had the guts to try to go through rehab like you have with the world watching. You're an inspiration, Al. I hope you make it all the way back. But even if you don't, you will always know you gave it everything you had to try to recover. There is life after sports, though, and being able to take your grandkids for a walk might be important to you someday.
Keep it up Al. You're the OD - Original Dreadster! Can't wait to have you back on the field.
I so enjoyed watching you play. I too have knee problems, I should have surgery but I am afraid. I am pulling for you to return to the game and the Packers.
Inspiring. I still remember those leg extensions.
I am enjoying the chance to follow this step by step. Looking forward to the next one.
