Alabama gets pledge from top Class of 2015 QB

Alabama continues to receive verbal pledges from some of the top high school players in the country, as the Crimson Tide landed a commitment on Monday from Ricky Town.

The 6-4, 190-pound Class of 2015 product from Saint Bonaventure High School (Ventura, CA) is arguably the best pro-style passer and one of the best overall players in the 2015 class.

Town, who also had offers from major programs such as Texas, Georgia, Stanford, USC and Florida State, participated in a June camp at Alabama, where he made a strong impression on Crimson Tide coaches.

The California native becomes Alabama's fifth commitment in the 2015 class, and his pledge comes less than two months after the Tide received word that top Class of 2014 pocket passer David Cornwell is heading to Tuscaloosa.
