49ers linebacker Aldon Smith has been productive on the field. When he's been off of it, it's been a different story.
Since becoming a pro, Smith has been charged with a DUI, three felony weapons possession charges and was accused of making a fake bomb threat at Los Angeles International Airport. He's yet to be charged with anything at this time for the latter.
For Smith, it's a matter of moving past those kinds of incidents that have derailed his career early on.
"I'm focused on staying focused," Smith told CSNBayArea.com.
In three seasons, Smith has totaled 137 tackles and 42 sacks. His best season was in 2012, when he finished the year with 19.5 sacks.
When speaking with CSNBayArea.com, Smith said that the full story involving his incidents haven't reached the press yet.
“A lot of these things are being painted in a picture that’s not true,” Smith said.
