San Francisco 49ers outside linebacker Aldon Smith was sentenced to 12 days in jail on gun and driving under the influence charges and three years of probation.
Given credit for one day served, Smith will serve the remaining 11 days by being on a work crew every Monday starting July 28.
Smith's three felony weapons were reduced to misdemeanors.
He was sentenced to 235 hours of community service and ordered to pay a $2,000 fine.
Smith isn't allowed to own a gun or ammunition during the next three years.
Smith could also be facing a suspension from the NFL under the personal conduct policy.
