San Francisco 49ers offensive guard Alex Boone has no intentions of showing up for training camp unless he gets a new contract, according to CSN Bay Area.
It was Boone who skipped a mandatory minicamp, along with tight end Vernon Davis.
Whether the 49ers will cave remains to be seen, but it seems unlikely that this impasse will drag into the season.
Boone is due a $2 million salary this year, a $200,000 roster bonus this year and a $1.2 million salary in 2015.
The 49ers can fine him up to $30,000 per day missed of camp under the NFL collective bargaining agreement.
