Eddie Lacy, one of four Alabama players that will be attending the NFL draft, finally got down to the business of working out this morning.
Lacy, who did not participate at the Scouting Combine or the Crimson Tide pro day because of a hamstring injury, worked out this morning for scouts in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
According to the Twitter account of the Senior Bowl, Lacy was timed at 4.58 and 4.62 seconds in the 40-yard dash before doing positional drills. That is right about where you would figure the big, 5-11, 230-pound back to be. Lacy had a 33 ½-inch vertical jump and a 9-foot, 7-inch broad jump in his workout.
There is probably a good chance Lacy hears his name called in the second half of the first round. If not, he’ll make some club quite happy in the early part of the second round.
