Alternative point spreads for the Super Bowl

Thursday evening brought a flurry of activity to the Las Vegas betting scene as the LVH sports book released their annual offering of Super Bowl proposition wagers. We’ll be diving into those hundreds of prop bets with more in-depth coverage next week, but today we wanted to take a look at the LVH's alternative point spreads currently on the board.

While most are comfortable throwing a few bucks down on the traditional point spread, these alternatives give those with a very strong opinion on the game an opportunity to play a different angle. For example, those convinced Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos are poised for a romp on February 2 can lay Denver -10.5 for a chance to win 3.5 times their wager amount.

However, it’s worth noting that five of the last six Super Bowls have been determined by six or fewer points, with an average margin of victory of 5.6 points per game during that stretch.

Current line: Denver Broncos (-2.5) vs. Seattle Seahawks

Seahawks: -3.5 (+190)
