Third-round pick will be only punter for Jacksonville. Terry McCormick
The Jacksonville Jaguars made room for new punter Bryan Anger, whom they chose in the third round on Friday night, amid much criticism in league circles.
After spending such a high pick on a punter, one day later the Jaguars waived their other two punters - Nick Harris and Spencer Lanning, according to the Florida Times-Union.
The plan is to work Bryan, but we will let [Lanning and Harris] go to ... give them a chance to get picked up somewhere because teams will be looking pretty hard there,” said Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey.
