Rutgers offensive tackle Anthony Davis, a projected first-round draft pick, auditioned for the Philadelphia Eagles today.
"Just got done workin out for the Eagles," Davis wrote on his Twitter account. "Killed it."
Davis didn't take part in the Rutgers' Pro Day workout last month due to a sore hamstring and a stomach ache, drawing some criticism from NFL teams who were eager to watch the 6-foot-5, 325-pound New Jersey native.
In a subsequent workout, Davis performed in every drill and met with teams afterward.
He visited the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday.
Davis has also had a lot of contact with the New York Jets.
"Anthony's a good kid," Davis' agent, Sunny Shah, told the National Football Post in a recent telephone interview. "That stuff was overblown. He did everything they wanted to see. He did very well. He showed good feet for a big guy.
"When you see him move at 325 pounds, it's very impressive. He's 100 percent healthy now and is looking forward to the draft."
Baltimore Ravens Pro Bowl running back Ray Rice is convinced that Davis will succeed at the next level.
"Anthony's gonna be a stud in the NFL," Rice said. "He's got all the tools. Anthony Davis will be as good as Anthony Davis wants to be."
