Veteran safety Anthony Smith has announced his retirement from the NFL at age 28, says Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
Smith spent last season with the Tennessee Titans, and ended up on injured reserve. The Titans chose not to re-sign him at season's end.
Smith was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2006 and in his career bounced to the Rams, Jaguars and Packers as well as Tennessee.
