Anthony Spencer out for season with knee injury

Dallas Cowboys defensive end Anthony Spencer will need a microfracture procedure done one his injured knee, team owner Jerry Jones said on his weekly radio show on KRLD.

The report came via the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Spencer is playing under the franchise tag, which could now hurt his negotiating power for next season. There's a reason players hate the designation, even when they are set to make a lot of money for just one season worth of work.

Spencer was inactive this past Sunday against the Rams.
