An arbitrator has upheld discipline against the former agent for Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil, imposing a six-month suspension and revoking a $25,000 fine.

Marty Magid, the former agent for Dumervil who was cut by the Denver Broncos after a deadline wasn't met involving a restructured contract that the Broncos said wasn't faxed in time, had appealed the original suspension.

In a statement, the NFLPA announced that "Martin Magid failed to meet his professional obligations to his former client, Elvis Dumervil, thereby violating the NFLPA Regulations Governing Contract Advisors. When questioned by the NFLPA about his actions surrounding the termination of Mr. Dumervil’s contract by the Denver Broncos, Magid gave several statements under oath that, along with other evidence discovered by an NFLPA investigation into the matter, provided a basis to issue a disciplinary complaint."

Magid appealed the ruling on Oct. 22, 2013 and the hearing was heard by arbitrator Roger Kaplan.

Meanwhile, agents Josh Hare and Malik Shareef's $25,000 fines for entering into representatiojn agreemtns with players prohibited under NFLPA regulations were reduced to $12,500 apiece upon appeal.

The NFLPA said Hare and Shareef failed to provide them with copies of the prohibited representation agreements as well as copies of other agreements they entered into with players.
