Arkansas-Pine Bluff OT runs 40-yard dash in 4.65 seconds

It is hard to say how much NFL personnel value the 40-yard dash for offensive linemen.

If at all.

But left tackle prospect Terron Armstead of Arkansas-Pine Bluff turned heads this morning when he completed the drill in 4.65 seconds. That is as fast as some wide receivers and safeties will run and faster than some tight ends. No question.

Some see Armstead as a potential second- or third-round draft pick. He needs to be fully developed in a strength program but he has the athleticism to block on the edge and that is what NFL clubs cannot teach.

Armstead played in the East-West Shrine Game and the Senior Bowl.
