Multiple reports are popping up on Twitter from a variety of Eagles beat writers stating that Pro Bowl cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha was carted off the field with a knee injury during Thursday morning’s practice session.

As of the current moment, there’s no information regarding how serious the injury may be or whether or not the star cornerback will be able to play this Sunday when the New England Patriots come to town.

A nine-year veteran out of California, Asomugha signed a five-year, $60 million contract with the Eagles back in July. In ten starts this season, Asomugha has recorded 24 tackles, three interceptions and five pass deflections.

We’ll bring you more as soon as we hear it.
