Pike was released on a $300 bond. Dave Miller
Auburn true freshman quarterback Zeke Pike was arrested for public intoxication in Lee County on Saturday night.
He was later released on a $300 bond.
Pike arrived on The Plains from Kentucky in January and participated in spring practice with fellow signal-callers Kiehl Frazier and Clint Moseley. The Class of 2012 product was a top recruit after throwing for 1,964 yards and rushing for 728 yards in his senior season. As a junior, he threw for 2,218 yards and 18 touchdowns while rushing for 1,072 yards and 17 more scores.
The 6-4, 233-pound U.S. Army All-American Bowl participant, who was suspended his final game at Dixie Heights High School in Edgewood, Ky., for an undisclosed reason, was one of the best pro-style quarterbacks in the 2012 class.
