CEO wants to give second-year QB a chance to succeed. Terry McCormick
While Browns coach Rob Chudzinski left open the possibility of the team looking elsewhere for a quarterback, CEO Joe Banner indicated that Brandon Weeden is who he expects will be the team's starter in 2013.
The Browns are hoping that pairing Weeden with new offensive coordinator Norv Turner will be a winning combination.
"The biggest thing for Brandon is going from year one to two year two,'' Banner said, adding that bringing in Turner and improving the talent around Weeden should help the former Oklahoma State quarterback.
Banner added that the Browns will not be looking for a quarterback with the sixth overall pick in this year's draft, and the club currently does not have a second-round pick, having used that on receiver Josh Gordon in the supplemental draft last year.
