Baylor lands one of the nation's top WRs in the Class of 2013

Perhaps Baylor is still riding the incredible wave created by Robert Griffin III's Heisman Trophy season in 2011.

Because Bears head coach Art Briles landed one of the best receivers in the nation when the program received a commitment from Robbie Rhodes, a Class of 2013 product, who chose the Bears over Texas, Alabama, Texas A&M, Missouri, Texas Tech and TCU.

The 6-1, 185-pound Southwest High School (Fort Worth, TX) product is one of the better recruits that Briles has been able to land during his time in Waco, ranking up there with former star receiver Kendall Wright, who was RG III's go-to guy in 2011, and current cornerback Ahmad Dixon.

Rhodes should be able to step in and compete for playing time right away in the Bears' system because of his immense talent. Last season as a junior, he caught 47 passes for 1,315 yards.

Baylor now has 11 commitments in the Class of 2013.
