The Chicago Bears plan to add quarterback Jordan Palmer to the roster, according to multiple reports.

Palmer also wrote on his Twitter account: "Off to Chicago. What a crazy business."

Palmer is the younger brother of Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer.

The Bears need reinforcements after third-string quarterback Matt Blanchard broke his hand.

Palmer tried out for the Bears in June when they also worked out JaMarcus Russell and Trent Edwards.

Palmer has also played for the Washington Redskins and Cincinnati Bengals.
