Brian Urlacher could be finished for the season.

The Chicago Bears middle linebacker will miss at least the next three games with a Grade 2 hamstring tear, according to Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune.

That puts Urlacher’s status for the remainder of the season and postseason in jeopardy but the possibility he returns for the Dec. 30 season finale at Detroit has not been ruled out.

Urlacher was injured on the second to final play in the Bears’ 23-17 overtime loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He will be replaced by Nick Roach with Geno Hayes coming off the bench to play strong-side linebacker, the position typically occupied by Roach. The Bears signed Dom DeCicco for depth at middle linebacker this morning.

Urlacher is in the final year of his contract and general manager Phil Emery has said he would wait to make a determination about the future after the season. Urlacher missed nearly all of training camp with a knee issue that required arthroscopic surgery and other procedures.
