The Chicago Bears have cut veteran safety Craig Steltz.
The Bears cut the fourth-round draft pickfrom 2008. He has 58 career special-teams tackles.
Steltz is a vested veteran, free to sign with any team now that he's off the Bears' roster.
Steltz's release got the Bears down to 77 players.
