Bears cutting Michael Bush

The Chicago Bears are cutting backup running back Michael Bush.

Due a $2.85 million base salary in 2014, Bush rushed for 197 yards and three touchdowns last season, one year removed from a 411-yard season where he scored five touchdowns.

Bush, 29, being let go creates $1.85 million in salary-cap room.

He signed a four-year, $14 million contract two years ago.
