The Chicago Bears have signed former New Orleans Saints center Brian de la Puente to a one-year contract.
He visited the Washington Redskins during free agency.
The 28-year-old is a former Cal standout who has started every game for the past two seasons.
He has started 44 of 48 career games.
He has previous stints with the Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers and Carolina Panthers.
The 6-foot-3, 306-pounder played last season under a $2.023 million restricted free agent tender.
