John Beck was released by Washington Redskins, who drafted rookies Robert Griffin III and Kirk Cousins last week.
But now Beck has found a new home, agreeing to a one-year deal with the Houston Texans, according to the Houston Chronicle.
Beck will compete with undrafted rookie Case Keenum of the University of Houston for the third quarterback spot behind starter Matt Schaub and second-year pro T.J. Yates, who stepped in down the stretch last year after Schaub and Matt Leinart were injured.
