Ben Roethlisberger would retire before accepting trade

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger refuted a report that indicated he wanted to be traded at the conclusion of this season, stating he wasn't in favor of the direction the organization was headed.

Roethlisberger claimed the report isn't true and that he would prefer to remain with the organization.

"I'd retire before I'd accept a trade," Roethlisberger said, via the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "I mean, it would have to be something really, really unbelievable for me to even consider it. I have talked to my wife about that. I don't want to be anywhere else. This is where we want to be."
