Jerome Simpson officially joined a not-so-exclusive club of Cincinnati Bengals when he was indicted by a grand jury on Thursday.

Simpson was indicted, according to WLWT-TV in Cincinnati on one charge of drug trafficking stemming from an incident in which a package of marijuana was delivered to his Kentucky home last fall.

Simpson's girlfriend Aleen Smith signed for the package, which contained 2.5 pounds of marijuana. If convicted, Simpson could face one to five years in prison.

Simpson continued to play for the Bengals while the investigation was on-going and turned in one of the most memorable highlights of the season as he hurdled and did a flip over an Arizona Cardinal defender while scoring a touchdown.

The TV station reports that Simpson might be able to hurdle the long arm of the law and be sent to a diversion program regarding the charge.
