The Cincinnati Bengals were awarded quarterback Matt Scott off waivers.
Scott was cut Thursday by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
He was on the Jaguars' practice squad last season.
The Bengals recently cut quarterback Josh Johnson after drafting Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron.
Scott played collegiately at the University of Arizona.
In the preseason with the Jaguars, he completed 18 of 40 passes for 170 yards with one interception.
He played 34 games with 17 starts for Arizona and was named second-team All-Pac 12 as a senior.
