Ryan Fitzpatrick, who backed up Carson Palmer for two seasons in Cincinnati, met with Bengals coach Marvin Lewis at the NFL owners meeting in Arizona, the team's website reported.

Fitzpatrick was released last week by the Buffalo Bills after being their starting quarterback for the past three seasons. Fitzpatrick signed with the Bills in 2009 and won the starting job during the 2010 season.

The Bengals are looking for a backup to Andy Dalton, after losing Bruce Gradkowski to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
