The Cincinnati Bengals announced on Wednesday that they've extended tender offers to wide receiver Andrew Hawkins, linebacker Vincent Rey and wide receiver Dane Sanzenbacher.
All three players are set to become restricted free agents this Saturday. As a result of the tender offers, the Bengals can match any offer a team gives them when they hit the restricted market.
“This is part of the yearly process to help us retain our core of good young players,” said head coach Marvin Lewis in a statement. “Andrew, Vinny and Dane have earned the opportunity to look at the market, but we want them back with us. They are certainly in our plans.”
In three years, Hawkins has 86 catches for 995 yards and four TDs for the Bengals. Rey had four sacks and 54 tackles in 2013.
