Tag would give pass rusher $11.175 million salary for 2013. Terry McCormick
The Cincinnati Bengals have plans to franchise defensive end Michael Johnson by Monday's deadline, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.
Johnson had 11.5 sacks for the Bengals in 2012 and would make $11.175 million under the franchise tag if no long-term deal can be brokered between now and the July 15 deadline for an extension for the coming season.
