The Cincinnati Bengals re-signed tight end Dan Coats, the team announced today.
Coats has been with the Bengals since 2007 after signing as an undrafted free agent out of Brigham Young.
The Bengals badly needed tight end depth.
Coats started 11 games last season, catching 16 passes for 150 yards. He helped the Bengals' running game a lot with his blocking as they rushed for a franchise-record eight 100-yard games.
For his career, he has caught 30 passes for 291 yards.
