The Chicago Bears have not made a move – yet – but will likely add Tim Ruskell to their front office soon.
General manager Jerry Angelo, in a win-or-else situation with coach Lovie Smith, is looking to align himself with someone he’s very familiar with in Ruskell, who he worked with for 14 seasons in Tampa Bay.
Angelo abruptly fired director of pro personnel Bobby DePaul eight days ago, and we suggested right here within an hour of the move that Ruskell would likely be coming on board. It’s been an offseason of change for the Bears, who brought in new coordinators on both sides of the ball.
The Bears are without first- and second-round draft picks and will be looking to add some help, specifically in the way of a pass rushers, on defense.
