Cincy bringing back draft pick Vakapuna Brad Biggs
The Cincinnati Bengals are expected to sign fullback Fui Vakapuna off of the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad today, according to agent Andy Simms.
Vakapuna was a seventh-round draft pick by the Bengals out of BYU, and was frequently seen on the HBO show “Hard Knocks” during training camp. But he was scooped up by the Cardinals after he was let go.
Cincinnati’s starting fullback Jeremei Johnson did not practice Monday after the team returned from its bye. He suffered a sprained left knee in the Bengals’ victory over the Chicago Bears on Oct. 25. It’s not believed to be a serious injury.
