Cincinnati is shopping safety Marvin White to see if it can find a taker before final cuts are due in about six hours, a source said.
White, a fourth-round draft pick in 2007 from TCU, started 10 games last season for the Bengals and has 13 career starts. When Cincinnati re-signed Chris Crocker and added Roy Williams to the mix, the Bengals knew they would have a numbers crunch with Chinedum Ndukwe also in the picture.
It could signal that reserves Corey Lynch and Kyries Hebert, a special teams standout, are in good position, but then it might not affect their future one way or the other. White has been portrayed as being on the bubble of the roster in the HBO series “Hard Knocks.”
White isn’t the only safety being shopped. Kansas City is exploring trade options with Bernard Pollard, and a third league source confirmed he has heard the same information late Friday night.
