Laurent Robinson will have leg surgery Brad Biggs
It sounds like Marc Bulger will be OK for the St. Louis Rams but he’s probably not going to have Laurent Robinson to throw the ball to any longer.
Not this season any way.
The wide receiver will undergo leg surgery after suffering a fracture and a high ankle sprain on Sunday in the Rams’ loss to the Green Bay Packers at the Edward Jones Dome. Robinson was the team’s leading receiver through three games with 14 receptions for 167 yards. The Rams had picked him up from the Atlanta Falcons and the move was quickly paying dividends.
The good news for St. Louis is that Bulger suffered only a bruised rotator cuff, an injury that will likely sideline him this Sunday at Pittsburgh, but will not end his season. A torn rotator cuff would have ended his season. While coach Steve Spagnuolo wouldn’t speculate on Robinson’s future, he admitted the injury could be season-ending. The Rams are expected to seek help at the position. The Rams recently worked out Chris Davis. It is unknown if they would consider bringing in Matt Jones, who remains a free agent.

Matt Jones would be a steal, why no one has signed him is beyond me.
