Biggs: DeAngelo Hall questions Redskins' personnel

Veteran corner says check out the film, don't blame Zorn Brad Biggs

First, Washington Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall said the team was a couple steps away from panic, and then he questioned whether or not the team has been outfitted with the right players.

That’s an issue that goes straight to the door step of vice president of football operations Vinny Cerrato.

“I don't think it's panic,” Hall said, according to Jason Reid of the Washington Post. “For me, myself a little bit of desperation. I feel like we need this win bad. It's not panic yet, but we're a couple steps from there. We're a couple steps from getting ready to panic right now. Because like you said, you're facing teams that ain't won a game, and we gave Detroit their first win, we gave Carolina their first win. We can't give Kansas City their first win, that's the bottom line. We got to go out here (and) we got to get 3-3, bottom line. If we want to compete in our division and look forward to the playoffs and look forward to all these other things, we need a win.”

Coach Jim Zorn has been put under scrutiny and the widespread belief is it is only a matter of time until he becomes Daniel Snyder’s latest ex-coach. But Hall, like many teammates, is sticking up for Zorn. That’s where he wondered about the roster, which is in a terrible spot right now when it comes to the offensive line. The Redskins are also getting very little production at wide receiver.

“If you want to blame someone, look at the film,’’ Hall said. “Look at the guys who are out there trying to play. We haven't been doing a great job, bottom line, we haven't been doing a great job. I think the blame lies with us. I think the blame lies with us. I think we're the ones out there playing every day, practicing, trying to do the right thing, but I don't know if we've got the right personnel here to do it.”

I wish these guys would shut up and concentrate on doing their own jobs. Hall was pathetic against Carolina. On Carolina's clock-killing drive in the fourth qurater, he shied away from contact with the RB giving them one first down, then made an embarrassing one arm grab "tackle" of Delhomme to give them another first and salting the game.

This could easily be turned into a funny Onion article.

"Hall was particularly critical of the lack of production from the Redskins overpriced free agent signings this summer Albert Haynesworth and DeAngelo Hall."

Josh Johnson has looked pretty good . Why not let him finish the season ? They can maybe get some trade value out of him in the off season if the fear a qb controversy . Andy Reid gave him some pretty high praise .
